  • Plenary conference : «Setting up a sustainable vision within the local authority for the day-to-day organisation of services»
    • The aim here is to share the experience of other local authorities and/or establishments, regarding the application of internal policies linked to means of operation focused on principles of sustainable development and the constant improvement of services.

  • Café-workshop : «How to develop a strategy aimed at education for preserving the natural heritage and landscape.»
    • The aim here is, with the help of primary school pupils, to encourage ideas in order to develop a knowledge of the state of the natural heritage and landscape within the territory.

Auditorium Harry Payet

  • Conference-debate : «What means of communication should be set up in order to encourage the wide participation of the population for local action?»
    • How to develop information and awareness within the population concerning the challenges set out in Agenda 21 within the territory? This topic aims at encouraging ideas in respect of communication, in order to encourage the population to really share the application of local action plans.

Three topics are proposed for the next European Rural University, which will take place on 7th, 8th and 9th September 2010 in Saint-Joseph :

- Europe at the service of the rural community and its inhabitants,
- Rural professions for women,
- Culture : between heritage and innovation.
